One outcome of the war was the existence of over 100,000 homeless children, many of them orphaned by the war.  Given the nature of Korean Culture these children were rarely adopted within the society and were placed up for international adoption.  Here we will look at the social phenomena of international adoption of Korean children and the research conducted on that population.  International adoption of Korean children began as a result of the Korean War but continues today.
