Here are some of the best websites to be found on the World Wide Web dealing with the Korean War. If you have a favorite website that you feel should be included please Email suggestions and explain why you feel it is a good website link. When you type the words “Korean War” in the Google search bar one gets over 17,000,000 responses. We take a look at the major web sites dealing with the Korean War and provide an annotated list of the best. In addition, though, we are exploring ways to capture many of those web sites in a digital archive. Our assumption is that many of them are personal web sites of one serviceman showing photos of his time in Korea. When he passes on the widow or children may “pull the plug” on the web site and that material is lost. We want to make contact with all the creators of those web sites and see how the Korean War National Museum can help archive everything that they have on the Korean War. Korean War Children’s MemorialThis site has over 1,500 pages of stories and photographs of our servicemen and women and their relationship with the children of that war torn nation. |
