The Korean War National Museum mission seeks

- to honor the veterans; American, South Korean and United Nations forces of that conflict;

- to educate our citizens and future generations of the service, sacrifices and great contributions of those who fought there;

- to preserve the legacy and history of the Korean War through exhibits, our collection, programs, and educational outreach;

- to celebrate "the forgotten victory" as seen in the amazing growth, stability and dynamic democracy in South Korea today, guaranteed through the continued support of America's military and others since 1953.

“June 25, 2010 marks the 60th Anniversary of the start of the Korean War. Veterans of this war are no longer young, and have never really been thanked for their service and sacrifice. It is imperative we accomplish our mission and create a world-class museum and educational center now, in their lifetime. We owe it to those who served to get this accomplished.”

Denis J. Healy

President of the Board, KWNM; Korean War Veteran

“We need your help to accomplish our mission, and we hope you will join us in this important effort. The veterans of the Korean War are the only living veterans without a national museum honoring, educating, preserving and celebrating their important contributions and sacrifices. We hope we can count on your friendship and support. Thank You.”
